Day 571 – US – Ohio [Rest Day in Cleveland]

27/10/21

Rest day in Cleveland (Ohio, North America)

Finally a day that is not about running! I enjoyed the downtime in downtown Cleveland

Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame – Cleveland, OH

When a rest day comes up, it’s not necessarily about sleeping more. I tend to wake up at the same time, whether I run or not. No. The difference a rest-day makes, though, is that the day is not about running! I wake up at the same time, my body ready and eager to go… but I know that the morning will be directed to other activities and that’s all that matters!

I was there!! Cleveand OH

Today I had to attend the hairdresser appointment. Big thing! Last time I visited a hairdresser was in Rimini Italy, May 2021… It has been a while. I went there and kept falling asleep on the chair… it lasted over 2 hours and you can imagine how my body is not accustomed at all to spending 2hrs on a chair – when it normally is busy running a marathon!

I spent some time walking around Cleveland towards the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame… though by the time I reached the entry door (about 5pm) I was turned around because I was past the business hours… not very rock’n’roll if I can tell you my opinion!

I took a few pictures.. And walked to the hotel under very heavy and grey skies…

It is quite dizzying to think that I have only 3 stretches of running before I conclude the North American crossing.. 5 days running to Pittsburgh + 10 days running to Washington DC + 11 days running to NYC… It all seems that it is coming so fast..!

And thankfully the Covid 19 restrictions are easing up at the same pace I am progressing, what a joy..!
