Heavy rainy day where I did not get to see much on the way

Livenza river in San Stino

As I got up and opened the window this morning I noticed the air was much cooler than the previous days. Then I realised it was raining – I had not looked at a weather forecast for over a month now, it had seemed obvious that summer had set in. Well, there are some steps back!

The rain was heavy from the get go and it remained so the whole way. I was lucky to be able to run on cycling paths for about three quarters of the way. It spared me the constant spraying from passing vehicles. I received my share of it though. I arrived in San Stino really wet and cold.

Church del Roasario, San Stino

Needless to say I had cut my breaks to the minimum required (mostly for directional checks). I tried to keep my phone dry and hence did not take any pictures along the way. It was green and flat with a lot of vineyards and I’m sure it would have looked very pretty under bright blue skies!

My only pictures are that of the Livenza river in San Stino, and the main church. I did not go for my usual afternoon stroll, I just wanted to stay dry – and indoors!
