Rain, wind on a country run in the leafy hills of Adelaide

For the second day in a row, I knew the run would be made harder by the wind, rain and cold. Thankfully the foul weather is supposed to cease tomorrow. With that in mind it was easier to hit the road and take whatever the skies had in store for me today. It was very moody. Rain. Sunshine. Wind. And rain again.

I ran through very beautiful, leafy suburbs, and the winemaking countryside. I ran by the Kanmantoo settlement and then the open air copper mine. The mining activity started in 1840 and it seems there is still some activity nowadays. Around the mine there were loads of fields, sheep and, to my surprise, alpacas. I guess their wool is quite valuable here.

I finished the run in Murray Bridge. I am running on the old Princes highway at the moment. I am not sure if it goes all the way to Melbourne – I need to research. It would be nice as it would mean I stay out of the main road. Meanwhile I am staying warm in the comfort of the motorhome tonight. And I’m eager to have some dryer days on the road!
