Day 513 – US – North Dakota [Rest Day in Bismarck]

Leisurely day in the capital city of North Dakota

I was looking forward to the day. Going on a walk, seeing the sights, the capitol monument, going for food in restaurants, seeing people and exchanging. My next big city crossing is going to be Fargo, the biggest city of North Dakota (the 2nd biggest being Bismarck itself). In between, the road is going to be fairly deserted, with not much distraction once again.

Anyway, today was the opportunity to enjoy a bit of the city life before it gets cut for the next 7 days. I enjoyed the painted murals, the pioneers monument on the capitol’s lawn, the residential area, the historic railway depot, the library, the St Mary cathedral. A leisurely day spent walking outdoors. A treat lately!
