Crossing into Luxembourg under somewhat better weather conditions

I looked up at the sky this morning as I left and to my surprise it was not all covered in clouds. The wind was strong but to my delight, it turned over night and was now blowing from west. And today I was heading east! That was enough to put a smile on my face. Whatever the conditions today, I knew it would not be in my face the whole way.

The rain was on and off the whole way and it did not bother me too much. Compared to the previous days, the conditions were very pleasant! Halfway through the run, I crossed into Luxembourg. There was not much to mark the border as I entered the village of Steinfort. A simple board marked “Luxembourg” and that was it. Luxembourg is one of the only countries I have entered which does not require a negative Covid19 test.

I arrived in the city of Luxembourg, crossed the magnificent double decked arch bridge (Adolph bridge) across the Petrusse river, connecting the two parts of town. It gave me great views of the Cathedrale Notre-Dame and the old town. Tomorrow is a rest-day and I will hopefully get some time to visit. It has been a tough week and I am also looking forward to some good rest!
