A longer run, perfect weather and terrain conditions – getting back into the rhythm

I started early again today, around 6:10am. My goal is to progressively move the start time backward till I am able to get going at sunrise – which is currently around 5:10am. I need to re-adjust my nap time and evening bedtime!

I am aware that I am currently very lucky with the weather. The cloud cover I am running under for the past few days is literally saving my runs from being quite miserable in the last hour(s). I need to get up at dawn and minimise the amount of time I spend right under the sun in the hottest hours of the day.

Meanwhile today was another run in the flatlands of coastal Italy. The change today was I could see the Dolomites mountain range on my left, throughout the run. A bit of perspective! I did not manage a good picture though as they were partly hidden by clouds and quite far away. But it was a pleasant sight.

I am longing to be by the seaside again – this will have to wait till I reach Trieste, on Friday (which also will be my next rest day).
