Day 771 – Australia – SA [Coonalpyn to Coombe]

20/07/22

43km

From Coonalpyn (South Australia) to Coombe (South Australia)

Australia

Running under glorious sunshine and blue skies again, what a difference it makes

Happy feet under bright blue skies

What a difference a bit of blue sky makes! I set out from Coonalpyn and could tell the day would be much less grim than the previous ones. It was still fairly cold mind you (these days it’s around 6 Celsius when I leave). But the skies were clearing and I had another great day ahead by the water pipeline.

Much slower than kangaroos, easy to snap

Two thirds into the run I got to stop by Tintinara. Not much happening there, but I was able to sit down at the petrol station and enjoy a chocolate and a drink. Quite a treat when it happens. James today was off cycling on the coast – which is apparently quite beautiful and rich in wildlife. Meanwhile I enjoyed a day in forested areas by the pipeline with many kangaroos bouncing around, as well as rabbits and parrots. What a lovely day.
