Day 493 – US – Montana [Rest Day in Billings]

Rest day in Billings (Montana, North America)

A leisurely slow day in Billings, resting, visiting and planning ahead

Downtown Billings

Everything seemed to go slow today. I went for a long walk in the morning. Billings is a fine city with green spaces, parks, and trees along the very quiet streets of the city center. I stopped by the Yellowstones Art Museum and browsed through the collections there. Some native american art and contemporary pieces too, very interesting. Then I looked for a place to eat, again making a point to eat proper food so to speak. The week ahead is going to be challenging in this regard.

Not sure why the streets were pretty empty… beautiful though!

I spent some time reviewing my arrangements for the week ahead. As I mentioned earlier the logistics over the next 8 days is a bit different than what I am used to. It involves people ferrying me forth and back to specific points – as the distances between accommodations are too much for my daily running. Being used to counting only on myself, it is an added element of uncertainty to rely on others.

Anyhow. I am looking forward to the week ahead and the people I will meet. And my feet are itching to be back on the road again!
