Day 436 – EU – Greece [Rest Day in Alexandroupoli]

Rest day in Alexandroupoli (Greece, Europe)

A busy rest-day on a very moody weather day

Many things to take care of today. Preparing the crossing into Turkey, getting yet another PCR test done. I said it before, but really, they don’t come any easier. I have been crying my eyes out every single time. Everyone reacts differently but they generate so much pain for me!

There was also a lot of work to do to dust off the North America crossing plan. This will likely be the next continent I cross after I finish Europe. My initial plan had me run across the US and Canada. Because of Covid though, I need to stick to one side of the border only. So… quite a lot to work on in terms of re-routing.

The weather was not so good outside, so it helped me concentrate on my work! Sunny in the morning, it turned to rain again in the afternoon and it got quite chilly too. As I said yesterday, this is my last day by the Aegean sea. The next 2 days I’m heading up north to cross into Turkey via Edirne. I will see the sea again on my way to Istanbul, but not the Greek one!
