Day 423 – EU – Greece [Transit at Athens Airport]

 Travel from Trieste (Italy, Europe) to Thessaloniki (Greece, Europe)

3rd day of transit… finally making it to Greece

Going to the checkin counter this morning I had my fingers crossed that I would be allowed in Greece with no further trouble. My heart sank for a moment as the check in attendant told me my PCR test was not valid because it was written in Italian. It took two additional employees to clear the issue and let me board the flight. A close call!

I am glad I have made it to Athens. Only 1 more day of travel to reach Thessaloniki before I can restart the run. It does not feel good to be on hold, I would much rather be running.
