Europe

The pleasure of a run under a sunny blue sky, smelling the roses again and getting sun-kissed, it had been a while!

I woke up very early today. Looking at the weather forecast yesterday evening, I saw that today would be a dry day and I was obviously particularly eager to see that! I left Nancy and the sky was completely clear, the moon was still shining and there was no sign of any cloud around. It was cold, but it felt really good.

Today was a country run. I had packed most of my food supplies in Nancy, knowing that I would finish the run in a small village that had no grocery store. I would only get to pass by a “boulangerie-patisserie” about 6km before the finish. I enjoyed every moment of the run today. I took many many breaks! Every opportunity was good to stop and sit down. To enjoy the landscapes, let the sun warm me up and appreciate the silence of nature.

As I ran across Diarville, 6km before Ambacourt, I stopped by the local “boulangerie-patisserie” and got some very fresh supplies, croque-monsieur and pain-au-chocolat, along with a bottle of the local wine! Today has been a very very happy run. I am very glad to hit the road every morning, whatever the weather. But when the sun is out, boy does it make everything brighter! Awesome day.
