Day 245 – EU – Croatia [Rest Day in Zagreb]

24/10/20

Rest day in Zagreb (Croatia, Europe)

Rest day in the capital city of Croatia, Zagreb, on my last day in the country

I started early today, on a mission to fix BoB the stroller. I made it to a hardware store and was lucky to find a manager who spoke english and was willing to help. We identified there were 8 rivets that needed replacing. Unfortunately he was not able to help, so directed me to a keymaker who had all the tools to fix BoB. The keymaker did a perfect job. BoB the stroller is now back to normal movements, with no side to side swaying anymore.

This little morning adventure got me to walk around most of the city centre of Zagreb. The city is buzzing with activity, outdoors cafes, trendy places. The architecture is a mix of contemporary and classic buildings and it makes for a very harmonious and interesting combination. I am sure it would have all looked a lot better under blue sky and sunshine, but it is what it is!

Tomorrow morning I will leave the country to enter the next one, Slovenia – en route to Ljubljana!
